Rated 3 out of 5 by Shecky Great if you get a good one
Just bought my third one because the first two have served well but it's time to retire them. Unfortunately, this new box has the problem some other people have noticed: the screen piece doesn't fit well into the base, so the lid doesn't close securely. I suspect that if I forced the pieces together, great flying-litter mayhem would ensue first time I tried to pull them apart to clean the box.
I hope this isn't a problem with all new boxes, because this really is a super litter box when the parts fit together as they're supposed to. Even my big cat uses it faithfully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by longtimeindoorcatowner Not what I was expecting
Unfortunately this litter box was not what I was expecting. I have had indoor cats for a long time and I just need to continue with the old fashion big litter box and scoop it twice a day. The top on this is very difficult to get put into place and if it's not on right, litter will fall out... The space where the cat goes in is very tiny and I have the bigger one... Great for a kitten maybe or a small single cat. It does work OK if everything is in place but at that point, I would rather just scoop it myself and avoid the aggravation of the top. Litter still seemed to find it's way on the floor...
Thankfully, I can return this to a store near me and find something bigger and more basic. Thank you!

I honestly didn't expect this to work the way it's described, but I was wrong. Roll the box all the way over on it's top, roll it back, and ... presto! ... all the clumps are indeed in the little drawer, ready to be dumped out. So simple. I was just looking for a larger box for my big kitty, and this more than fills the bill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TNcatlady Best Cat Box. Really.
OK, so it's not pretty. But it works very well. I have one 10 lb. cat and have to empty it once a week. Just roll it and empty the tray. No panning for waste, no scraping or scooping. I have had a cat genie and a littermaid automatic litter box and sent them back because of the hassle of equipment malfunctions. For the lack of complication, low cost, and ease of emptying, this one is the best. You cannot really break it. Advice: get a good clumping litter and pour in the whole box- my favorite is Fresh Step.
