Purchased this for a 3 month old male mini doxie. Set it up next to the sliding glass door in my dining room & he stays in it while I'm at work. Put one of those potty patches, his bed & food in it & he has his own little room. It worked so well I bought a 2nd one to give him more space as he grew (connected the 2). Because he is so short it took him a little while to figure out how to jump over the little doorway but now that he is bigger it is no problem. He is not able to jump over the sides (got the 24"). We rented a cabin when he was 4 months old & brought these along. We were able to set 1 up to block off the stairs & the other was setup in the yard so he could enjoy time outside with us safely. The vacation would not have been as enjoyable if we would have been chasing after him constantly. He recently had to have abdominal surgery & is needing to stay isolated from the other animals for a bit. Separated the pens & set one up in the living room so he can still be contained and spend time with the family & safely see the other pets. He is not supposed to jump at all so I just unclip the pen & open up one of the panels to walk out so he doesn't have to jump over the doorway. He is now 9 months old now & it still works great. Make sure you get the correct height, this does not work for the chihuahua/jack russell mix that was added to the household later, that one is able to jump over the top (but it was not purchased for him).

I specifically ordered this because I love the "gleaming gold". It arrived n is a lifesaver due to its versatility. But it definitely is not gold. Maybe a dull tarnished hint of gold. So either I got a used one or this item is not as depicted.

I bought this for my 8 week old english bully. I've come to learn, if you lead your dog to the pen with the door open and leave some toys in there and some food and a bed, they may stay in there. Then, when you need to use it, they wont be so scared. I have used it for days where i want to sleep in, and because my pup sleeps in a crate, i cannot leave him in there too long, so this works perfectly! I will also be using it for days when i am at school for 8 hours. its a snap to assembly, and it can even double as a room divider if you want to keep an eye on your pooch but not pen him up. Well worth the money!

I have 2 small dogs, a Havanese and a Miniature Rat Terrier and LOVE this item!!! My dogs love to be outside with me while I am doing yardwork, however I don't have a fenced yard so I was unable to supervise them. I bought this and they spent many hours just hanging out and enjoying the fresh air. I have left it outside all year and is still in great condition. It is easy to move when I need to mow the lawn or if I want to set it up in a spot with more shade or sun. I absolutely love this item and am looking forward to the snow melting and weather warming up so it can be used some more. I would purchase this again without hesitation!!!
