Super Pet® Chew Proof Water Bottle
I bought my hamster yesterday and when we got home discovered that the bottle that had come with the cage didn't work properly, so I went back to the store and got this, hoping it would work better. It seemed fine at first, but when I got home this afternoon I checked the bottle and the ball was completely dry, and the water level hadn't gone down at all. I adjusted it, trying to get it to work right, and hardly any water came out when I tried it again. It also doesn't lie flat against the cage like it's supposed to, and therefore the bottom hanger that fits around the nozzle to hold it on can't be used, and in order to screw the cap on tight enough for it not to leak the nozzle sticks out at an odd angle.

Birds ignored it
Some people have had success in having their birds drink from a water bottle. I wasn't one of those people. Would be great for a small animal though!

Not interesting to my rabbit!
My rabbit prefers bowls to bottles but I offered this bottle to her anyway. It is chew proof and can be attached inside or outside the cage which is good. However it does leak time to time and my rabbit has a hard time reaching the spout no matter how low or high I put it. My bun was noticeably happier when I took it out and she promptly returned to her bowl. It would be a nightmare to refill if inside the cage but it is one of the only bottles I have given a shot at. Buying this bottle depends on your pet preference!

Will never go back to water dishes!
I have two lovebirds, and finding a way to keep their water clean was a challenge. They were either sitting on the edge of the dish (and filling it with droppings) or bathing in it before drinking from it.
I switched to this water bottle and will never go back! I removed the rubber ducky with pliers, because I didn't want something floating in the water that could grow mold or slime over time. The first few times I used the bottle it leaked, but I just had to tighten it.
My birds learned within minutes how to use it, and I love knowing their water is clean and safe while I'm away during the day.
I would warn that after you fill it, turn it upside down and shake it first so the water drips. When you put it into place, check it with your finger to make sure the water will drip easily, without air bubbles.
I clean the spout with q-tips and use a bottle brush to clean the inside of the glass.
