Petlinks Mystery Motion Concealed-Mouse Cat Toy
Save Your Money!
I bought this for my very playful 1-year-old cat. She watched it for a while & then walked away. No matter how carefully I attached the mouse, it always fell off within a few revolutions. As other reviewers mentioned, the "mouse bump" was barely visible through the fabric. I already have this back in the box & ready to return to the store.

Kitten is crazy for it!
I bought this toy for my 6-month old cat yesterday. The first time we played with it, she was a bit confused, but since then has been swatting, pouncing and this very moment is diving underneath the fabric at the mouse toy. She loves it, and it's better than swatting at my feet under the covers at night!
This product has some poor reviews, and I have to say my product is great. The fabric is not cashmere, but it isn't "cheap" -- the material is shiny to attract cats. Nothing has broken yet (over 24 hours) and my only complaint is the noise. When the mouse it trapped my the cat, the motor clicks. It is a bit loud, but my cat loves playing with it, so a bit of clicking is okay.

We have two cats, a newly adopted 2 year old, and an older 6 year old cat. We got the mystery motion to entice them both to play, since our older cat would rather sleep all day.
First, this toy is VERY LOUD. Once turned on, it freaked the cats out enough that they wouldn't even go near it. The younger cat played with it, but once she pounced and "caught" the mouse toy (the thing that spins around underneath that you can barely see) it made a horrendous clicking noise, which scared her away from going near it again. Second, as I said before, you can barely see the thing spinning underneath. The fabric covering it is so thick it barely moves. I thought the mouse would peek out over the edges, but it doesn't.
Of course I threw the box away, but I called my local PetSmart and thankfully they're letting me exchange it for something better.

Looks much better than it is.
I bought this one because I thought it was worth the little extra than the "cat's meow" version because it had a more desirable color as well as differing speeds. However I set it up and packed it back in its box for return in the same night. The little mouse toy that moves underneath the fabric falls off with in a few laps. The fabric is too thick so once the toy goes around once the fabric does not lay back down on its own so it has absolutley no appeal to your cat. Another factor that contributes to this issue is the fact that the toy does not have a part that sticks out from under the cover (unlike its competitor). The toy was useless in almost every aspect in its design so I didnt even try to exchange it for a different one because it was clear it was a series of design flaws and not a problem with that specific unit.
