by Lori12 NOT FOR MICE!!
The expansion kit wasn't too hard to put together and it seemed o.k. to clean BUT...it was too easy to chew!!! Within a day my mouse had chewed her way out!!! The ridges that are there to help them climb make great starting point for chewing an escape route! The air holes throughout the tunnels also make great places to start to gnaw through. Most holes were chewed through in one night!!! IF YOU HAVE A MOUSE DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I tried taping it up & using various materials to patch it & the mouse would just find a new spot to chew through. After 2 weeks of playing catch the mouse every day-2 days I gave up & removed it. I wish I had kept the packaging & receipt after the first sign of a hole...I'm out $25 plus tax!! NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED!!!!! It may be o.k. for other critters, but NOT mice. I wish I could add more photos to show all the holes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emilk Excellent Product
This product is excellent for my dwarf hamster, who just LOVES the loop-d-loop. The only problem I have with it is that it's difficult for him to climb straight down. It's also cool because you can easily take it apart and customize it the way you like. I highly recommend.

Our gerbils love these tubes. They are always sleeping in the large blue circular one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FerretMomma My hamster got stuck in one of these.
I have a long-haired Syrian hamster who was born with the inability to use one of her back legs. It doesn't slow her down though!
She loves the tunnels, but since she drags that leg behind her, it gets caught on the ripples of the inside of the plastic. Once, she got stuck and I had to carefully open the tube up to free her.
We don't use them anymore, but for the smaller rodents, and ones who don't have a gimpy leg, the tubes should be fine and safe.
