I bought the 6.5 inch wheel for my Winter White hamster. It was too heavy and slick; she couldn't even spin it. I had read that wire wheels can be bad for hamsters, but now that's my only option. At least she can spin it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kay2015 highly recommended, but...
I'm a recently new hamster owner. My boyfriend and I got a robo dwarf who has a lot of energy! I bought him a silent spinner because it was highly recommended by a worker at Petsmart for an apartment. It doesn't make any noise! But the first one we bought for him stopped spinning for him suddenly. I am able to spin it, even with little force. But his little body is unable to do so. We exchanged it for another spinner, same make and model, and this one doesn't spin for him at all! When it did spin, it was wonderful for him, but now that he doesn't have access to a good wheel, he is going crazy in his cage! Poor little guy can't release his energy. I'm going to exchange this wheel for another one, if this next doesn't work we will look into a different brand of silent spinners.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Zofia I bought the 4.5 one for my winter white hamster, and even though it's a good size, she cannot start it on her own, which is bad, because she really enjoys it when she is able to use it, maybe when she gets a little older her weight will be able to start it.

Bought this wheel in 6.5 in for my Dwarf Hamster and it was too stiff for him to use. Tried using vegetable oil and loosening the screw a little but it just began to wobble and was still too stiff for him to move. I'm hoping its just a dud because it is completely silent when I spin it with my hand! Going to go in and try to exchange it soon. Make sure you test it with your hand to make sure it spins easily before buying!!
