Top Fin 20 Gallon Aquarium Starter Kit
Filter a bit of a headache, otherwise satisfied
This product was overall of high quality. The silicone seams of the aquarium were a bit sloppy, but it's not distracting from the rest of the aquarium. The hood is a little too small, and sometimes it will dip into the water if you're not careful. I can't quite figure out the heater yet, it's a bit complicated and doesn't tell you which direction is hot and which is cold.
The main reason I didn't give this product all five stars was the filter. The one that came with the tank was horribly loud. I could hear it no matter where I was in the house. I took it back to the store and they exchanged it for another one of the same brand. We took this one home, and this time it didn't even start. We took it back, and this time, the employee that we spoke to pointed out what we were doing wrong- where the intake tube (the clear part) slides into place (there's a little notch in the filter where it rests) it sort of hovers above where it's supposed to go. You have to almost force it into place- once you do so, it should be a little bit difficult to remove, but that's okay. After you do this, it will be so silent you will only be able to hear it if you really concentrate. The whole hassle with the filter was annoying, and there are other minor annoyances, but I would say that this product is of good quality and is definitely worth buying.
P.S.-The second filter, now that I know what I was doing wrong, is running fine.

This is a great tank. Even the light's good for a low-tech planted aquarium. I love it for my fish. I have two cherry barbs, a Mastacembelus circumcinctus, an orange-finned loach, and more.
:) I highly recommend this high quality tank.

A Good Starter Set That Will Need Some Upgrades
I bought this set and it isn't bad, but it does have some flaws.
The hood and LED lights are good.
AS FOR THE FILTER, it is really loud and hangs over the back. I set it up in my bedroom and I had to shut it off so I could sleep. It sounds sort of like a coffee maker making coffee, only it is a little louder and never shuts off. I bought a quiet canister filter and removed the one that came with the set. The filter that comes with it will work fine as long as you are in a sort of loud area where there are a lot of constant noises, or you set it up in an area where you never really hang out at in your house like a dark basement. You can't use the filter if you are planning on putting it in a bedroom, study area, or other place in your house that you would like to keep kind of quiet.
The heater is just ok. It has a small knob that you can turn, but no numbers to tell you what you are setting it at. You have to use trial and error until you get the right temperature.
In the end it might be cheaper to just buy everything separate and buy the really good equipment to start with. It won't take long before you start pricing the upgrades, if you buy this starter set.
