I thought this would be a 'tension' type gate but when you put it together the ends merely sit inside a hollow tube so EVERY TIME YOU HAVE TO MOVE IT, THE END PIECES COME OUT! They should have taken the time to put in small pieces at the end where you could actually screw in the feet/end pieces which would also make it much more stable. As it is, because the end pieces just sit loose in the tubing if you happen to bump into it, everything comes loose - I did not install the wall cups that come with it because I didn't want that 'look' inside the house. PLUS the actual GATE pieces do NOT stay together very well -AND they said I should have 4 feet (which holds the pieces together better) and there were only 2 in the package so now I have to call to get more feet or return the damned thing. For $40+ you would think they could have made this much better. When you pick up the gate it's flimsy but as long as you have it pressed against the wall - it works - I don't keep it up at night for fear I will forget it's there and trip over it - so when you move it - it just comes apart everywhere.

Have problems tightening it when I have to remove it.
My husband is on a walker, so I can't leave it up all of the time.
I wonder if the permanent brackets would help, but he doesn't seem to think so.
The height is such a big improvement over the baby gate that I was using. At five feet, my legs are short.
