Top Fin 29 Gallon Aquarium Starter Kit
Lack of intuitive hood is a let down.
Firstly, why on earth is it 29 gallons? Aquarium sizes are typically 10, 20, 40... why is this 29?!
Anyway, this was an upgrade from a 20-long, for a fairly young turtle. A 40 gallon was way too much.
The extras included are OK and nice to have, but those upgrading probably have better stuff (heater, filtration). The biggest gripe is the useless hood.
I know it's specifically made as a fish aquarium, but that's excluding turtle owners with similar tank needs.
So while it comes with the ability to add LED lights, there's no option for UV lighting. Shame, UV lighting is essential for turtles, and it's a too bad this wasn't considered. You can't hang a lamp over the tank with a hood in place.
Other than that, it's OK.

Great Starter, But I'll Still Make Updates
This tank is great for starting out. It comes with everything you could possibly need in the beginning and it's a great size for my two young goldies. But, like I said in the title, I'm still going to update it.
The hood is awful. There's nothing wrong with it necessarily, but it is one solid piece which drives me insane. The average hood opens. It has a door or hatch of some kind and because of that design, it has to have something to stabilize it. This doesn't. There are three openings, one for the filter, one for the lighting cord and a small gap for you to drop in the fish food. That's all. It still fits fine around the filter and nestles perfectly on the lip of the tank, but having to remove it so I can replace something my goldfish knocked over, or to do any other kind of maintenance is irritating. Especially when you have to remove it carefully or risk dropping half of it into the water. I've done that more than once. My poor husband did the same when I asked him to lift it so I could get both hands in the tank. It kind of scared him at first when it wiggled out of his grip. :)
I haven't used the heater because I don't have tropical fish, so I can't comment on that, but the lights, filter and net are just perfect.
Again, for starting out there's nothing better price wise considering what you get. Eventually when I can spend the considerable amount for a new lid, I'll do it, but I'm in no rush for now.
Even knowing there's a wonky hood, I'd still buy this again. It's still a great purchase and I adore having it.

Great Starting Tank
I bought this tank a couple of days ago and it has been fantastic. I am a first time owner of fish and this tank makes it very easy to learn. The filter is good so far and the hood and light work very well. The heater is a little cheap, but if you don't need it for your fish then who cares. great looking tank for the price and amazing for people just getting into the fish world.

Okay for the money
I know you don't get much for $100.000 these days so I wont be too harsh. I bought this as a second tank to give my loach's breathing room. It's kind of flimsy, the top is warped so it doesn't fit down on the tank, the instructions with the set up were so vague...I threw them away. The lighting is accomplished by a half dozen led units not very bright but I plan to use my own anyway. Overall the tank is great but the accessories are really cheap, you get what you pay for.
