We bought these for our 2-ragdoll cats and they work exactly as advertised... they'll feed 1/4, 1/2 or 1 full cup of kibbles at the time you preset the units for.
I'd recommend them, and thought they were a fair price at $95@ ... and they hold several days of food... much more than other feeders we had researched.

There is not a strong catch between the bowl and the feeder. My cats pushed the bowl so it was no longer connected. And since the bowl is not connected it clogs up and the cats do not get fed. It cannot be counted on if you happen to be away. Way too much money for what you are getting. I contacted the manufacturer and they are aware of the problem and have no solution for the issue.

Pro's: 10lb capacity holder with 3x's a day portion control feeding. Very Quiet! It can dispense 3 or 4 cups, but I only need 1 cup x 3 a day for my cats as they are on diets. I use dog feeder, because it dispenses heavier and bigger kibble and my Natural Instinct W Raw Boost has larger and different sized pieces!
Locking lid that keeps my cat from opening it. Dishwasher safe food holder and bowl. I add 1/4 cup a water to the eating bowl with food in it as cats do not seek water they get over 70% of it from their food and prey. My cat got UTI blockage and this feeder and extra filtered water helps keep him flushed out!
Con's: Eating Bowl does not seat and lock properly, so my cat can pull it out. The bowl issue causes a couple pieces of dispensed food to get stuck between the bowl and dispenser making my cat think he has the Midas touch, lol That is what people are saying is the dispenser leaking food as sometimes if he has pulled at it the next portion dispenses and all gets stuck in between the bowl and dispenser, so pull the bowl out, put food in bowl and push bowl back into unit. Solution is to put a heavy object touching the front of the bowl (not on the unit)

We have been using this machine for a couple of years and it worked well. It's not easy to program but once you get the hang of it it's do-able. This morning when I opened it to change the batteries I noticed that all of the fins that separate the servings were broken off. ALL of them. After two years I might (MIGHT) expect something to fail but this was a pretty colossal fail.
