FURminator® deShedding Short Haired Cat Tool
I was skeptical at first but wanted a way to be proactive about cat hair. I tried it and WOW, I'm a believer now. I only spent a few minutes and got a lot of extra fur of my cat. The picture shows what a great job this Furminator does! I would recommend this to anyone with pets.

Expensive but worth it
My previous cat never had a hairball in her life. New cat has had several since we got him 2 months ago. So I wasn't really sure how to deal with them. In an effort to prevent hairballs, we stocked up on all sorts of brushes and wipes and special "hairball control" foods. It didn't seem like they were working. So I finally broke down and bought the FURminator. I didn't even know that they existed for cats until I started researching them online. I couldn't justify the price, but one "swipe" down my cat's back and it was worth it. After only 5 minutes or so I had the biggest pile of cat hair I've ever seen. My husband was amazed and agreed that it was worth the price. We shall see if it reduces hairballs, but I can already see and feel a difference in his coat. Make sure that you buy from an authorized seller like PetSmart. You can't guarantee that discounted Furminators online are the real deal.

Cats not the biggest fan but I am
My two cats shed pretty badly. One of my cats just sheds non-stop. Neither of them are the biggest fan of the de-shedding tool. Maybe at first we pulled too hard or something. Now we are incredibly gentle but one of them just does't seem to like it much so we try to do it when theyre in a good mood or with treats. But we think its amazing. It has seriously reduced the amount of cat hair we have found in the apartment.
It's a bit pricey but it was worth it.

We have a short-haired cat who always created a cloud of fur when we pet her. Now we don't have to worry about that, and her fur is so much softer. Logically, it also cuts down on the hairballs the cat creates. As long as you keep up with the grooming and don't overgroom, it is well worth its money.
