ExquisiCat® Scoopable Fragrance Free Clumping Scoop Cat Litter
Less Dusty than Scoop Away!
I recently tried ExquisiCat Fragrance-Free side-by-side with Scoop Away Super Clump Unscented. The cats all liked both. The clumping was almost equal. Scoop Away might have been just a hair tighter of a clump. The biggest thing was the dust. In comparison with just letting the litter sift through the scooper from about 6 inches up, Scoop Away had a definite cloud of dust going up several inches. ExquisiCat had much less dust. The biggest difference is probably that ExquisiCat starts out with somewhat bigger grains of litter. I wish it was even less dusty, since I have 4 cats; but so far, it seems to be the best litter for less dust than others and for good clumping and odor control.

Clumps but odor control is so-so
I recently adopted a cat and have been reading up on a zillion litter types. One thing that seems universal - kitty litter is going to be dusty. Exquisicat has a moderate amount of dust, but less than another brand I'm trying out.
Exquisicat does a great job at clumping solids, and depending on volume of liquids it will clump -- but not as strongly and there are lots of little clumps that sometimes get mixed back in. It does always seem to clump.
If anything, odor control is not great. I mixed a third party brand of odor remover into the kitty litter, not much at all, and it did wonders...
I'm trying other brands because my new kitty has a problem with stress and, shall we say, "behavioral-based bowel control", but he does use Exquisicat in his main box more often than the other litter in the larger box I'm trying (maybe due to insufficient depth of the other litterbox for his preference).
I'll know for sure after a month or so, when he's fully settled and the stress-related problems go away, but with a wee bit of odor controlling product mixed with this kitty litter, I have no real complaints. It does what it needs to.

This litter is a great value for the price, clumps very well, and is 100% unscented if you are sensitive to fragrances. However, it is the most DUSTY cat litter I have ever tried in my 20+ years of living with cats! It took me a while to finally put two and two together as to why my house was suddenly getting so dusty so quickly. Then, I realized the plume of dust I see when I pour this litter and realized that it had to be the litter. I switched to Cat's Pride Fresh and Light Fragrance Free and am much happier, even though it's a bit pricier.

Poor quality litter
I have no problem with Petsmart in general. However, this is the worst litter I have purchased. I was told it is their store brand. It does not clump at all that I can see. I use sifting liners and this is the only litter I have used which allows "items" to go through the holes and back into the box because it isn't clumping anything. It also fails at odor control. I have to use more of it than I should to mask odor and therefore the cost savings just isn't there. I am going back to one of the name brands - they cost more but I don't have to use as much.
