lasted 4 days
STAY AWAY!!This bulb is worthless. i originally purchased two about 2 weeks ago to add a little extra heat at night for my ball python during the cold snap we have been having here lately(bought one as a backup just in case). It was working well at first, added just enough heat to keep her warm side appropriate temps, and just enough of a glow to see her roaming around during her peak activity. The first bulb burned out in 6 days, a total of maybe 75 hours usage. I was hoping it was a fluke.
This second bulb really took the cake though. I have used it 5 times total(again, only at night). MAYBE 50 hours max. This morning I come downstairs and no infrared over snake habitat. Completely Burned out.
I tried to do some troubleshooting, so I put another bulb in the lamp and turned it on, it was fine, so nothing wrong with the lamp. I have used other bulbs with the lamp with no issues, getting a lot of use from them, but not these.
I have the appropriate sized bulb and wattage for the lamp, so i am not overloading.
These bulbs are useless. Any other brand of bulb that I use will last a long time. I guess that's what i get for trying to save a few bucks instead of going with tried and true.
I should have listened to the other independent reviews that I read online and stayed away. Won't make this mistake again.

perfect if you have 75 watt or higher
I use this bulb for my beardies night bulb(he does have a UV bulb) and it works great. but dont get the 50 watt bulb its basically useless to desert animals.
