Petmate® Booda Clean Step Litter Box
I read several reviews before going to purchase the Petmate Booda Clean Step Litter Box. I examined the lid for reasons why it does not stay on and found that it will stay on if you put it on securely in the first place, which is difficult in itself to do. It came with a plastic liner for the box which DID NOT fit the box. My problem came when my cat(s) would not go inside for unknown reasons. I have four cats and some were using the box and some were peeing on the paper outside or on the entrance ramp. The manufacturer needs to send this item back to research and development just as I am taking this item back to the store for an exchange.

I was very skeptical when I went in the store and saw the product, I immediately read the reviews online and they were mixed. I decided to go with the litter box anyways and was a little hesitant with the pricing and what not. BEST DECISION EVER! I wish I had splurged on this litter box years ago! I have 2 cats and one is very messy, always covering and recovering and digging in the litter and dragging it all over. I use to vacuum my laundry room twice a day if not more. The steps trap a great majority of the litter and the curve of the tunnel from the litter box stops the cats from sprinting or jumping directly out which also made a ton of litter come out. Now I vacuum once every few days and thats only because my husband is a clean freak :) One of my cats is a little on the robust side and doesn't have a problem! As for the difficult to clean part I couldn't agree less. I find it very easy to clean and would recommend this product over and over again! Worth every cent!

I purchased the Booda clean step litter box, the concept is neat but the design is bad! The lid does not stay on, there is no way to latch it to the bottom! Also, the litter does not stay in the litter box, it still ends up on the floor! I am returning the one I purchased today and getting something different!

Hard to clean
My cats like using this box, but it's very hard to clean. The scooper doesn't fit well into a round "corner". Plus the sides leak if your cat urinates too high. And urine gets on the steps which mixes in with the litter and is a pain to clean. So instead of just scooping, you usually have to clean the whole thing and the floor underneath. This all is only a problem if your cat urinates kind of standing up rather than squatting.
