Purina® Yesterday's News® Cat Litter
Best Litter for my cat
When we had to start using this because she was declawed I worried about it being paper and smelling but it has been three years since declawing and we still use it and there is no odor from usage and no dust.
We really like this product.

I think all my cats prefers the scoopable cat litter, but some will use the box with this type of litter. I like Yesterdays News better, because there is minimal dust. With the scoopable, my downstairs is way too dusty. I think this is unhealthy for the lungs & digestive system. The pressed newspaper granules, looks like rabbit feed, and probably costs more than the scoopable. I've seen this product carried at two grocery stores and it was selling for $6 or $7 for 13.2 lbs. Although that is the largest size I've seen in the stores, it is cheaper and easier to carry and store. The 30 pounder, if selling for $18 is .21 cents cheaper a pound than the 13.2 lb selling for $7. But the 30 lb. is unscented.

Awesome product for rats, cat & ferret!
We use this product for our rats, our ferret and we used it for our cat. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking at a safe alternative to clay litter and wood shavings. We use this products in our ferrets litter box and dump it every other day, it helps remarkably with his stench! We also use this in the base of some of our rat cages and litter boxes in our other cages. Our cage was a little weary at first, but he took to it quickly, his box is dumped every other day as well. Our critter room smells MUCH better after switching to Yesterday's News!

The perfect cat litter, at least for us
I switched to this product after our cat had surgery. No way will I ever go back to the clumping litter. I was tired of having "sand" all over my house. I also found that it still had an odor in the remaining litter even after I scooped.
This doesn't take much more work than clumping litter. I would scoop the box every-other day. Now all I do is dump it every-other day. All I do is fill the bottom of the box with it and I'm done. I buy a huge bag of baking soda and before I put in the pellets I sprinkle a few tablespoons on the bottom to help with odor since I buy the unscented.
There is very little dust. Some had complained that it is hard to scoop, it is NOT scoopable since the pellets break down once wet!!
The price is more than scooping litter but I always wait until its on sale. The higher price is worth it to me to have a sand & odor free home!
