This is a quality piece of furniture, and while I haven't tested its limitations (i've only just assembled it), I'm very happy with how sturdy it is and how it looks...now.
Assembly was a P-A-I-N. I'd consider myself an intermediate DIY'er. I lay out all of my pieces, grouped by their respective code and read through the instructions at least once before beginning assembly. But the instructions on this thing are not detailed enough. Twice during assembly, I realized I had a piece on backwards and had to undo some of it. In total, it took me two and a half hours to get it assembled including my mishaps.
Overall, I would say the cursing and sweating was worth it (if you couldn't tell by my 5 star rating), as I believe this stand will be with me for a long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by tommy2 Love it !!!
Purchased this 2 year's ago and still looking good.
I love the open back and the shelves are great for
storage. I originally purchased three different stands before I settled on this one. I made the right decision. :#
It looks great in the living room. It totally matches any décor. It truly was easy to put together. I'm really bad with directions, but came out great. I know you won't regret purchasing this one. It'll last awhile. I have a 29 gallon tank. #I forgot to mention)

Rated 1 out of 5 by SteveninBellbrookOH BEWARE! This product is a piece of junk. Picture instructions were of very limited use, and bottom support shelf (cheap particle board) broke during assembly. Don't waste your time & money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by njtiger24 great stand
I got this stand about 5 years ago, when I got my 20gal tank. I ran my 20gal tank for a year and decided it was time to upgrade my tank. I picked up a 36gal tank but, without thinking, kept this stand. I ran freshwater in my 36gal tank for years; cleaning, moving the stand and tank, and over-all maintenance of the system. I just switched to a saltwater tank and again kept this stand. I been running my saltwater tank for 17 week now. I have been adding live rock to my tank as well as doing weekly maintenance. I even moved my tank and stand. Yesterday I added more live rock (about 30lbs of just live rock) and when I was cleaning the tank's glass I noticed the stand/tank moving. After doing some research I realize I was about 125lbs over the max rating for the stand. Last night I lowed my water and removed most of my live rock just to take a load off the stand; tonight plan on getting a new stand.
I can't believe this stand has lasted this long, over the max weight. This is a great stand.
