We adopted a rescue Pomeranian. She had been shaven so she was easy to bathe. Now, almost a year later she has a full luxurious coat that needs grooming every day. She also has some digestive issues so she gets a butt bath about once every month. She has had a full bath about every other month, since her coat is so long with a heavy undercoat. This shampoo leaves her coat softer and healthier than it was when she first arrived. She doesn't care for baths but she loves being clean so I would say that our dog recommends this shampoo, as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JRTmama Excellent Product for Allergic Dog
Our Jack Russell Terrier rescue has gastrointestinal issues and is allergic to almost everything including commercial dog food and orally administered meds. The vet prescribed a home-cooked chicken, rice and vegetable diet [he's allergic to beef and pork]. The only "treats" his system can tolerate are plain Milkbones. On hot days he needs a bath every 3 to 4 days; on cooler days [that means 60F in Florida] every week to 10 days. This specific shampoo lathers up well, rinses clean, and there is no lingering odor of perfume. The shampoo leaves his coat soft and silky and after he's thoroughly dry #he actually likes the hair dryer treatment# he's no longer itchy and doesn't scratch every few minutes. This is an excellent product and especially good for little guys with itchies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by APBTGirl Love this shampoo!
My husband has a VERY sensitive nose and he smells things normal people can't. His biggest pet peeve - pardon the pun - is "doggie odor". His 2nd biggest pet peeve is artificial or perfumey smells. This shampoo works beautifully! It is low lather, but I dilute it about 50/50 with warm water (a groomer's trick) and it lathers up enough and about 2 ounces is enough for a 75 pound pit bull - does his whole body, including feet and tail. I don't use this on his face or head, I prefer bath wipes for the face and around the eyes. The best part is there is absolutely no doggy smell for days after his bath and no perfumey smell either - just....nothing! Even my picky husband tries to smell something and can't. This shampoo also leaves his coat very soft and shiny. Another grooming tip - ALWAYS blow dry your dog after his bath until he is completely dry. Just toweling and letting your dog air dry, even with a short coat like a pit bull, will result in a musty, doggy smell. If you like perfume, you'll need to buy a spray or something, because this shampoo will leave your dog absolutely odor-free.
