Royal Canin® Indoor Intense Hairball 34 Adult Cat Food
No More Hairballs!!
I work at a vet hospital and over the last few years I've become a big proponent of feeding pets high quality food. I've personally seen it make a difference in all of my pets. They're happier, healthier, and living longer. I've had my cat on Indoor Adult Royal Canin food for several years, but I switched him to the Intense Hairball back in January (~6 months ago). He's a long haired cat and had always had problems with hairballs, which I just thought was going to be a fact of life until I tried this food. Seriously, I can not even remember the last time I found a hairball in my house! It's literally been months! He really likes the food and after backing a bit down on how much he gets, he didn't gain weight (a big fear, since he used to be a porker before I put him on Royal Canin food six years ago).
All in all, I love what the Royal Canin line of food for all my pets, but I've been especially impressed with the Intense Hairball formula.
I know that good food for your pet may seem to cost a lot, but you've got to look at the bigger picture. Better food means they need less to actually get the nutrition they require. Better food leads to fewer visits to the vet.

We have three cats, two of which were constantly having issues with hairballs. Every morning I would wake up to find at least two productive hairballs. Some days there would be more, but there were always at least two. After vet visits to rule out any health problems or blockages, we decided to try this brand. In complete amazement, since the second day of them eating this food, there have been no hairballs anywhere. Our smaller cat took to this food as well, so we just decided to put them all on the same food as to avoid hairball issues with the younger cat in the future. They loved the smell/taste right away. It does have a more potent smell than any other cat food we have ever purchased, but they seem to love it. I wish I would have found this food sooner as it would have kept my floors/carpets that much cleaner! Their coats already feel much softer, almost like rabbit fur and they don't seem to have to eat as much of this food as opposed to the other high quality brand they were eating before. All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone that has an issue with their cat and hairballs. Although it is a bit pricey, in the end it is well worth it for their health.

Best catfood ever!
I have two cats, a fragile 21 year old former alley cat, and a pampered 3 year old Rag Doll. The alley cat has always struggled with hair balls and weight loss, and I tried various cheaper and more expensive cat foods, fish oil, malt paste, you name it, with only partial success. I only discovered RC after we brought home the Ragdoll, because she had been raised on it, and her sensitive digestion won't tolerate anything else. To my surprise, our older cat began immediately eating her Babycat Formula hard food, and his vomiting and straining with hairballs immediately decreased. Then I discovered the Intense Hairball formula, and his vomiting stopped completely. Once every few months the Ragdoll has a hairball, but considering the volume of hair she ingests, that's completely understandable. The real bonus has been that our formerly skeletal 21-year-old has gradually gained a pound and a half, and our vet is thrilled! So are we - this food has definitely extended his life! Now, if they only had a SENIOR intense hairball formula!

Maine Coon + Hairballs
I have an underweight 7.5# maine coon. He's 4 years old, and has always struggled with extreme hairballs. I took him to many vets to get diff opinions, I had xrays done, I did diff tests to figure out for multiple things. I tried pumpkin, hairballs gels & pastes, treats, diff hairball foods (science deit, purina One, iams, ie) I went to petsmart one day and littleraly decided to buy the most 'expensive' food I could find I was so heartbroken over and stressed at this point. I bught a bag of intense hairball and maine coon specifica food. It works!!! IT WORKS!!! I tried to mix the iams with the maine coon to see if I could cut costs, but it was a horrible experince. Tippy will forever be on intense hairball mixed with royal canins maine coon formulas. I not longer have a cat who wakes me up coughing and hacking, bloody puke from struggles, and I have not had an episode where he cant breath since. Tippy had an extreme case, He would get to the point where we didnt know i he was going to survive hairball episodes and no one could give me an explaination, other than hairballs. I even shaved him but for also begin underweight he is also steadily gaining. Four months ago Tippy was down to just over four pounds on his death bed not eating and having hairball episodes. He is now extremely happy, 7 pounds, and sitting eating and NO HAIRBALL EPISODES AT ALL. This stuff works and is well worth the price for good health.
