We purchased Mr. Squeakers when we bought our puppy (October 2013), and he has been replaced about 4 times since then. This may sound like a lot, but compared to other toys, this one has lasted the longest. Our Dane is an energetic puppy, and his toys undergo quite a bit when he "plays" with them. Plush toys don't last the day, but Mr. Squeakers is able to withstand his attentions for quite some time, in between replacements. Plus this toy is less expensive than some of the plush toys we've tried. This toy has different materials and noises, and the tummy ball is great for teething pups. It is true that once he makes it through the knot on the rope legs, it is simply a matter of time before the rope comes out of the body. However, it takes our Dane quite a few tries before it reaches that point. Even when the rope comes out, the rest of the toy is still loved on. At least until the next Mr. Squeakers can step into the limelight, that is. :)

My 2 year-old Jack Russell has a thing for destruction so I bought him this! The head came off right away, so I took out the plush and the squeeker and put in a mini ball, so it's another toy! As for the "body", we play tug, fetch with it! Oh and he plays alone with it, which is funny and great! He's been walking around the house with it since he got it a month ago! It's definitely his favorite toy!

I have a 6th month old lab. She had chewed through the arm within seconds of having the toy. The rest of the rope was shredded throughout the day until she tore the whole thing apart. It looks durable but because it is the same piece of rope for the legs and arms once one is gone it starts to fall apart, fast!
