I have 2 cats and have 2 automated litter boxes. The Nature's Miracle self cleaning litter box for Multiple Cats cannot keep up with them. My second litter box from them just died today. This time, the motor only lasted for about 4 months. It lasted about 6 months on the last litter box. If the cat pees at the back of the box (where the rake is normally at), the rake gets stuck and the motor starts grinding, and then it automatically reverses. With my last litter box, the rake would no longer reverse and would grind until I manually turned it off. This time, the motor just wore out overnight and I had to manually push the rake back to the original position, while the motor made a sad attempt to move the rake. Their customer service department is great, but the product is not. When both boxes broke, I called them and they could hear the problem on speaker phone.

Don't waste your money get a Littermaid !
No litter ever works right. I spent more time cleaning the rake than it did cleaning the box. Weak motor and flimsy waste receptacles. Never stayed where they were supposed to hence litter and clumps all over.
PIECE 8F JUNK . The only thing good is the color. I went back to littermaid.

I've own my cats for 13 years now and I've always used the LITTERMAID AUTOMATIC BOX, in the 13 years I've purchased 3 of those boxes. My second purchase was an upgrade to a bigger box. Last December while moving it was damaged. Being pegnant I needed a replacement ASAP. I stop into petsmart and they did not have the LITTERMAID but this NATURES MIRACLE instead. So I purchased it. My first box never worked not even once, not even with the battery pack. Called it in and easily got a replacement- they did not question me at all. Received the replacement it worked for a total of 9 days- I KID YOU NOT. The waste receptacle containers are also horrible. They are so soft that they easily tear and the top covers fell off all the time, so I ended up with a mess. Luckily I had a bulk pack of the LITTERMAID waste containers which worked so much better before it stopped working after 9 days. So every day now I have to scoop this box. Something I did not have to do with the first 13 years of owning my cats. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I can't believe I spent $160 on this box. I have 2 cats. A 3 year old female and a 12 week old female. The problems: Amount of litter has to be low enough or the rake gets confused and goes back & forth until it triggers a fault in the sensor. Since the litter has to be so shallow, when the cats urinate it sticks to the bottom and the gears in the box aren't strong enough to take it away and it trips the fault sensor again. As others have said, it's more of a pain to clean this pile of junk than it is a regular box, because you can put more litter in a regular box. The ONLY time this box works is if they poo. If they urinate, it clogs every time.
