This crate has thin wire and the latches are easy to manipulate. I use vise grips to hold the latch from moving. I advise a crate with a L shaped hook at the end not straight like this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Moni1214 Smaller than I thought it would be
I have a 4.75# chihuahua and I bought the small size kennel in store. It has a picture of a yorkie on the box so I assumed it would be the perfect size.
When I took it out of the box at home and set it up, I was very surprised at how small it really was. There is enough room for the dog, a small thin blanket and maybe a water bowl. However, she doesn't have much room to move around and it won't fit her bed. Although she is a very small dog, I still feel that this size crate (small) was too small for her to be in for 10+ hours per day while I'm at work.
The kennel is very easy to set up and is well made so I will not hesitate to just go exchange it for the next size up. For anyone on the fence about whether to get one or the other as far as size goes, you should go with the bigger size. Better to have a little wiggle room than to have your pet crammed in the kennel all day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CVT1 My one year old lab mix was able to get out of this crate within a couple of hours. The metal is very weak and easily bent. He was able to bend it to the point that the top latch popped off. After that he was able to force his way out. The crate is only a week old and already all mangled and unusable.

I love this crate! Going to purchase a second one to leave in my camper. He did figure out a way to get out the first couple of days I had it. He was able to flip the latch but a simple carabiner to secure the lock and all was good. Collapses and re-assembles easily - last year I just would bring the same crate with camping so I was always collapsing and reassembling - its quick and easy I just have a bigger camper now and can keep one in it.
