by MamaHavu DO NOT BUY!!!!
My 36 pound dog destroyed in under 6 hours. The plastic is cheap and doesn't hold up. He left it alone when it was down with water in it, but the second I put it up to give him more room, it was in pieces. Awesome Idea, just wish it worked. That's $20 gone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Riisman Two days after installing my six and eight pound dogs had shredded it. They are not even aggressive chewers. The material is extremely thin and could be dangerous if ingested. Liked concept so went with another website and ordered stainless steel

I bought the 8oz bowl for my Pomeranian and use it any time I take her on a trip. I haven't had any major issues, but it could just be because my dog is smaller and therefore can't really damage the bowl.
*Sturdy Material - The frame of the bowl is made from a solid hard plastic, and the screw used to attach it to the crate is metal.
*Sturdy Attachment - The clip that is screwed on to the opposite side of the crate is a good 3 inches long, so it covers enough area to get a good hold onto the crate.
*Space Saving - When not in use, you can simply collapse and tilt the bowl upwards, so you can leave it in the crate without it taking up too much space.
*Practical - The bowl portion is removable, so you can just take out the bowl for a quick refill without removing the entire frame. It does lock into and out of place with a quick twist.
*Wash it EXTREMELY WELL - If you're using this for water, make sure you let it soak in some hot soapy water and/or put it in the dishwasher because otherwise, the color of the bowl will leach into the water....yuck. (No my dog didn't drink any of it). I no longer have this problem, but I would still keep an eye on it.
*Somewhat difficult to lower - It's easy to tilt the bowl up (just push the button on the frame base and push the bowl upwards), but bringing it back down is a whole different story. The button remains lowered, and you can't reach it anyway, so you simply have to pull down on the bowl, which feels like you're going to break it. You will hear a relatively loud snap when you pull it back down. I'm not sure if doing this more often would help it or hurt it.
Hope this helps!

I purchased this product about 6 months ago in store and not too happy with it. It does not attach well to the crate and if the dog slightly bumps it the water spills. While it is probably my dog she will not drink from it for some reason either. Will continue to use till I can find something better.
