So if u do some proper research the absolute minimum in the world of floor space a hamster needs is 360 sq. ft. But, This makes for a lovely hospital cage or a travel cage. If you don't know what a hospital cage is, it is a cage for if your hamster gets sick and can't come into contact with another hamster, might get hurt on it's usual cage or can't come into contact with the cage because it might contaminate everything. It is also a lovely travel cage because it is lightweight, and not as flimsy as store-bought traveling cages.
If you are looking for a lovely little cage I would recommend the Prevue Pet Products Tubby Animal Cage in small, a Bin cage (A type of DIY cage) or any cage that has 360 sq. ft of floorspace (only calculate one floor.) Have fun with your new pet!

I got this house for my hamster Walnut. He loved this cage! I loved this cage as well, it was very easy to clean, take apart and put back together. Also it was plenty big for him to run around. He would sit in the corner and store all of his food, he had a waste corner as well. So this cage was plenty big for my little guy. I would recommend this cage to anyone who wants a hamster. There is a little bit of room for your hamster to have another tube for him to play in in there, but I would recommend playing with your hamster everyday. You don't need a huge cage for them to play in and it doesn't have to be extravagant, just enough room for eating sleeping and a wheel.

I've used this cage at work and at home for my mice, yet my mice always escape from it! Please do not purchase with the intention of housing your mouse.
