One of my two cats likes catnip. (About 50% of cats don't.) I know how to handle catnip. When you take some out of the container, you rub it between your fingers to release the catnip scent. My cat tasted some--and he literally yawned. Never touched it again.
I also put some in a "catnip pad," a zippered cloth rectangle with foam rubber inside. He used to go crazy, sniffing and scratching and rubbing himself on it and then zooming around the room. Again, nada.
Granted, this boy is now 10 years old, but he's always been athletic and still loves to play. I ordered the Whisker City catnip from another pet store, and perhaps it was stale. I've just ordered online another highly rated but more expensive brand from Petsmart. I guess I'll find out if Petsmart also ships out its oldest stock.

Ever since I bought Charlie some Whisker City Premium Catnip, he's been turning up his nose at the old Brand X stuff. Even I can tell the difference, just by the aroma. It really smells good, and I'm not a cat! I'm not sure what Brand X was made from, but it sure doesn't smell like Whisker City 'nip.
Charlie really does like it a lot. How do you train a cat to get out of your chair when you come back with a fresh cup of coffee? Give him a pinch of Whisker City after he/she's been removed from your chair. In less than a week, Charlie got out of my chair when I even got close. Bribery works especially well on cats if you use Whisker City Premium Catnip.

I can no longer drive so I order hard to get items online whenever possible. The Whisker City Catnip is so popular with the cats I know, and I can create toys for them with it or just spoon a little pile on the carpet or ground and they love to roll in it. The cats are owned by working folks in the area and come for food, water and human attention, but also the catnip. These cats are the only visitors I get and I love them like my kids. Thank you.
