I have a 30 gallon tank with some neon tetras, a couple of mollies and platies, a pleco and cory catfish. Because I also have snails and live plants, and either a molly or platy had babies, I use less than the directions say (I just use a pinch). I noticed one of the cories rubbed against the gravel, and a neon tetra rubbed against some decorations, and I thought it was ich. I added a pinch of this salt in after doing a 10% water change, and the rubbing stopped. Snails, plants, and baby fish are not harmed. Cories and pleco are not bothered either, as long as very little is used, as pleco's and cories may be sensitive to salt.

It does help with fungus, minor scratches, and fin rot. Though it is not a "miracle worker." I've used this product with scaleless fish, like corydoras, 1tsp per 5 gallons, and it doesn't affect them. But, if you don't have scaleless fish, use as directed by the box. Remember that salt does not evaporate so you'll have to change the water to take the salt out.
