MARINELAND® 5 Gallon Crescent Aquarium System
Great little tank
I've had this tank set up for all of 48 hours, but so far I'm loving it! It fits in the corner of my desk perfectly, and I have two guppies and a pepper cory in there so far.
It was easy to set up, instructions were clear. The only problem is the one that has been consistently showing up in reviews, heavy condensation on the lid. It's really too bad, as the condensation detracts from the beauty of the tank, but I'm not really sure what they could do to change it. Maybe add ventilation holes to the lid, or bow the lid up a little to let the condensation run back into the tank?

Easy on the eyes
Thorin really enjoys this tank. He has plenty of room to do his "Look at me I'm so handsome!" shimmy. I actually like that condensation forms on the clear lid...it keeps the nice LED light from being too harsh. The filter is pretty quiet...at first it made an annoying humming noise which we discovered was coming from the motor not being pushed firmly into place. (Oops) It does have an adjustable flow and in our experience works better with the included hanger bracket instead of just relying on the suction cups which slide down over time from the weight of the filter. The clarity of the acrylic is fantastic, though I have lightly scratched it when cleaning by accidentally snagging a piece of gravel. Overall, the space and functionality and small footprint are fantastic and I would buy this tank again if I ever had the need.

Betta Aquarium Set-up
Perfect for a new Betta! Filter is excellent and Betta loves it. I use the default flow setting - high - for best results. Place filter exactly where the lid has a slot and tight to the corner. Betta loves to squeeze behind filter but always gets away no problems. Natural gravel is best for colors of Betta. Purchase Betta water heater 25watts that is factory set to proper temperature but purchase a thermometer to be certain. LIVE PLANTS for Betta!

Beta loves it!
This is the first fish tank I have ever purchased. It was very simple to set up and the acrylic seems to be very sturdy. The filter which came with it is very quiet and seems to work very well. I did purchase a small heater to go with it as I have the tank in my basement.
My only con so far, is the small feeding hole on the lid. (in photos) Dust/lint etc easily gets into the water, and I find myself putting a small piece of plastic wrap on it to avoid any particles from getting into the water. Other than that it has been a great starter tank!
