We were talked into this type of bone (antler) by the sales associate saying that it is sooo much safer than rawhide. The price was a little expensive, but it's the only bone we' ve had to buy in a year and a half! Out puppy loves this bone! She chews on it for hours. It doesn't splinter, always the same. Can't even tell she's been chewing on it and it's her go to toy. She literally will lay in bed with us and chew this bone until she falls asleep. Since she was never introduced to rawhide we haven't had any issues at all with her not liking it. Out older dog still prefers the dingoes, maybe because she can't pull apart and destroy the bone. Both of our dogs are small breed about 15lbs. But the puppy chooses this over any other bone surprisingly. We are very pleased and highly recommend if you are still using rawhide just see if your dog will chew it, it is sooo much safer. Also, if it's a puppy, start them out on this! You won't be disappointed. Money well spent!

I spent two months with a puppy trying to find the right chew toy for her, she didn't like the hard plastic Nylabone chews, she swallowed rawhide, and ripped apart plastic 'everlasting' toys made to be chewed on. I finally bought her an antler and she immediately loved it, will chew on it for great lengths of time, and they last forever. She is now past the "Puppy Chewing" phase but STILL loves them. HIGHLY recommended, especially for teething puppies!

I bought this just earlier today and to be honest though it hurt my pocket a little to buy it, it was well worth it. Every 3 or 4 days I would go out to buy my Husky hybrid rawhide and she would just destroy it almost instantly. My dog is now more entertained than ever and has BARELY made a dent on the antler. I would only recommend buying it in person because the shapes and sizes vary.

Bought the regular size chew deer antler chew. There wasn't any dimensions so I guessed on the size. What I received was an antler that was 1/2 inch at the widest point and not longer than six inches. It sure would be useful to have dimension sizes listed to help buy the right product.
