NATURE'S RECIPE® Adult Dog Food
Change in formula?
We've had our Boston Terrier on Nature's Recipe Grain-Free Chicken, Sweet Potato & Pumpkin for most of his adult life (he's now almost 11 and otherwise healthy and active). The last bag we bought seems to be a different formulation. It looks distinctly different with flat, square, dark colored kibbles instead of round, tan kibbles. The first couple of days, he wouldn't eat it, but eventually succumbed to hunger. Now, we're halfway through the bag and have noted a significant change in his digestion. His stools are irregular and runny where they used to be regular and firm. There's definitely something wrong and it looks like we're going to have to look for a new dog food. Not sure I'm going to stick with Nature's Recipe if they change formulas with no indication on the packaging.

I feed our dogs Nature's recipe, one because they like it, and two because one of my dog's has a bad food allergy. This is the only food she can eat.
They like the chicken, sweet potato, and pumpkin.

My GSD has had issues with skin and digestion ever since he was a baby dog. (He's now 6). I have tried several ( Iams, Hills Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach, etc) which still gave him terrible gas and runny-ish stools. Not to mention he would vomit up his dinner at least once or twice a week. He has been on this food for about 6 months and everything has been perfect!!! All 3 dogs love this food!!!!
Although I have to add, I did get a bag of the Salmon & Pumpkin one ONCE.....no digestive problems, but man those burps stink like something else!!!
