Rated 1 out of 5 by Nosleepmama I purchased this product in mid-August of this year to provide fresh water to my cat while I would be out of town for a few days. She liked it, so I kept on using it. However, I have been disappointed in the quality of the product. Today it is 11/14 and the product no longer works at all. It has been working poorly, making just a tiny trickle of water, for the past several weeks. I have changed cartridges regularly. I think it is reasonable to expect more than 3 months of service from this product. Very unsatisfied with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PetParent2015 I've had 4 and they all quit!
Don't purchase this fountain. It only works for a short time then quits. I have had 4 of them and they all quit.Whisker City has had their phone number disconnected so you can't call them. My question is Pet Smart has had several returns on this fountain why don't they pull it from the shelf and save the customer time and money of having to return it?

Bought one of these 6 weeks ago. The cats love it but I'm taking it back to exchange today because it has already stopped working. Hope the new one lasts much, much longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hoppo Clean the pump!
I have one cat with kidney disease. Keeping her hydrated is absolutely crucial. Noticing that she liked to drink the water dripping from a faucet, I bought her this fountain.
Home run! She was at the fountain constantly and I knew she was getting plenty of water.
But - after a few weeks, the water flow started to taper off. After two months it stopped completely. I was disgusted. Called the fountain - and the company - all kinds of impolite names.
Then I reread the directions. They said to clean the PUMP - not just the filter and bowl. The pump is in a separate compartment on the bottom of the fountain.
The thing is the dickens to get apart. When I finally did, I found the pump completely blocked with hair! A swipe of a finger, and it began working like new. Months later, it's still trickling away. My cat doesn't use it much anymore, and I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy new filters.
This is a case where following instructions and keeping up with maintenance are vital.
