Top Paw Double Door Dog Crate
5 Month Old Puppy Escaped
Terrible. Not secure. Cheaply made. 5 month old puppy escaped after third use and then escaped multiple times : ( Destroyed the carpet in our newly built home!
Would NOT recommend.

My dog is too smart
I purchased this crate when I adopted my dog in February. It really is a good crate but doesn't stop my dog from escaping, she's recently figured how to do this. I have serious doubts about the "locking" mechanism as it's not as secure as advertised. I should have purchased one with a sliding mechanism like her big brother has. he stays put, she doesn't.

Locking system changed for the worse!
We bought this crate in a 36" for our new puppy last year and it is still great. Since our pup is about a year old now, we wanted to get him a larger day crate so we thought to get the same one in just a bigger size.
Since our purchase last year, Top Paws has changed there locking system on the crates and it is now a door that lifts up instead of the sliding lock. Our Vizsla easily gets out every time we put him in it and since he is a counter surfer, we come home to a mess. Luckily Petsmart has a good return policy and we got a full refund.
I would NOT recommend this crate for anyone with Top Paws new lift door locking system.

I purchased this crate in order to crate train my Golden Retriever puppy. I liked the adjustable gate that can be installed inside because I wanted to limit her space as she grew. After a few weeks, she figured out how to open both the doors, so it was impossible to keep her contained. I recommend a crate that has a more secure latch instead of simply lifting up on the door to open it.
