Rated 5 out of 5 by SoozyQ No need to go to the vet! This works as intended.
You have to administer the correct dosage according to the weight of your cat otherwise it will not work! After I gave my cat a pill, her next bowel movement did not have any traces of tapeworms. *shudder*
The easiest way to give your cat the medication is by crushing the correct dosage in a bowl with very very little water and then using a syringe to shoot the mixture in the mouth. :)
P.S. You should also treat your cat for fleas as tapeworms come from fleas as well and clean everything your cat has come in contact with.

WOW, I can't believe how fast this worked... less than 24 hours! After reading the other reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but it worked GREAT! I do agree with the other reviewer that you should "pill" your cat rather than mix it in food. That way you're sure the cat gets the full dose! This is well worth the money and even if you have an overweight cat like I do, there is still enough left in the pack for another cat or to keep for future use! I highly recommend this product! Thanks Bayer!!!

I bought this to treat one of my kitties. This product really work fast. This is the same medication that your vet uses, but this one is OTC, so you save some money in the process. It it very important that you follow the instructions. If you have a cat that weight over 11 pounds you have to use 1 1/2 pill for this medicine to work properly. It is fast acting. I check my cat the next day and it was gone, nothing, everything was back to normal again. I have multiple cats and I will treat them as well, so I'm getting more of this at the store.

I first tried another "safe" product that did nothing, and I had to dose my kitten 3 times a day for 2 weeks. I read that praziquantel works on tape worms. I was glad to see that this is a Bayer product. I gave my kitten 1/2 tab and no more worms the next bowel movement. I would suggest that you pill your cat, and that can be a fight, but that way you know that the cat gets the dose. If your not sure how to pill your cat, there are good video's on youtube that show how to do this.
