Purina® ONE® Smartblend Healthy Metabolism Adult Cat Food
I have a male and female cat, The female is very picky about what she eats. I fed them both the Purina One Healthy Metabolism canned food and they both loved it. I had bought the food for my male cat because he is a indoor cat and is over weight.

Purina One Smartblend Chicken for Indoor Cats
Purina One is a high-end cat food more expensive than Friskies but less expensive than Purina Pro Plan. About a year or so ago, Purina began to offer the "One" Product in a "Healthy Metabolism" variety designed for adult cats which have been spayed or neutered. Such cats typically tend to gain weight.
My kitty is about two and one-half years old and had been spayed when I adopted her over a year ago. She is a lovely, contented cat but, the vet tells me, is overweight. I have been feeding her this product, together with other wet and dry cat foods, that, from my research and her reaction, seem to me healthy and appealing.
My cat loves this product and eats it right away whenever it is offered. Friskies makes an inexpensive pate wet chicken cat food designed for indoor cats. My cat eats the Friskies product, but less enthusiastically. Purina says this "ONE Healthy Metabolism" chicken includes an ingredient called "L Carnatine" which helps spayed or neutered cats convert fats to energy and to help cats maintain a healthy weight. I tend to trust this product and to prefer it to Friskies even with the extra expense. This "Smartblend" product is made with white meat and comes in a sauce. It is high in moisture content and includes less in the way of fillers, artificial ingredients, and by-products than does Friskies. Both the Friskies and the "One" product are nutritionally complete for adult cats in accordance with applicable standards.
I feed my cat a variety of wet and dry foods in different flavors and brands. I have switched from the Friskies brand to "One Smartblend Healthy Metabolism" for kitty's diet of wet chicken. I think ONE Smartblend is a quality product and worth the additional expense.
I find this a good product for spayed cats and will continue to feed it to my precious little kitty.

I like the fact that you are producing food that helps spayed and neutered cats but I don't like the ingredient chicken by product. Can the chicken by product be removed from this item? I can only find this product at two local pet stores, why is that?

I got a few of these because they were on sale. My kittens seemed to like it, but not the best ingredients.
