This stuff saved my fish from a large nitrite spike during a fish-in-tank cycle.
If you want to do a fish-in-tank cycle, get this and API Freshwater Aquarium Master Test Kit. Add the full dosage amount once the fish are added (after water's aged for a few days of course). Then, do 20% water changes twice per week for a month while the biological tank cycle is created. Each water change, add the appropriate dosage to the new water being added. Use the Master Test Kit to check the ammonium and nitrite levels every few days during the fish-in-tank cycling period. With twice a week water changes and this product, the nitrites should not spike, and the ammonium shouldn't reach dangerous levels either.
I've had success cycling 5-gallon and 10-gallon tanks using the fish-in-tank cycle method and this product.
Good to keep on hand in case your nitrites spike at anytime.

I was having such a hard time with my tank levels after I changed media over, I did it the proper way Btw.. After weeks of failed cycling and no end in sight I started fresh with this and immediately had perfect readings! My fish, which was struggling prior, is now full of life and happy again! Her eye pop has went away and she looks amazing. Water quality is the most important thing with fish and I highly recommend this to everyone.

I don't know exactly how this works but it does seem to work great. I've lost fish before due to "new tank syndrome." I tried this when I got a new betta and haven't had a problem. Cool!

I bought a 20gal tank 1 week ago, set it up, added the quick start, added 3 mollies the next day and 2 cory catfish today and they're all doing great!! This works!!
