I've been a long user of Instant Ocean, I figured since I had good results with it I would give the Reef Crystals a try since my system was much more heavily stocked with SPS.
After using several batches I noticed my Calcium and Magnesium dropping after water changes. So I began testing every salt mix after that. On three consecutive batches my calcium ranged from 300-350 and Magnesium ranged from 900-1000. Very poor parameters. It's lower than what I got from Instant Ocean which is cheaper too.

Just make sure to close the bucket completely after you are done using it, the salt pulls moisture out of the air and it will get chunky if the lid is left on the bucket.

don't waste your money on the buckets of reef crystals. as you get to the end of the bucket the salinity drastically changes as per the recommend doses. spend the extra money and get the better stuff that actually lasts till the end.

My LFS uses Instant Ocean basic salt in there 15,000 sq. ft. Facility. I now use Reef Crystals with their RO DI water. 48 hour mix, my corals and tank NEVER LOOKED THIS GOOD! All parameters are great. Very highly recommended for reef aquarium!
