Grreat Choice® Mini Aquarium Heater
Great for smaller tanks
So as of right now I only have a one gallon tank for my betta (will be upgrading soon). As I've read everywhere, bettas are tropical and generally need their water to be between 76 and 82 degrees. I chose this because it has the lowest wattage I could find (and it still says recommended for a 2.5 gallon tank) but it works fine with my one gallon! I would definitely purchase a thermometer to go with it because you have no way to gauge the temperature or even turn it off without unplugging it. My betta has been more active since purchasing this which makes me happy!

I purchased the Grreat choice mini heater (7.5) because it was the least expensive and it says it will only bring the water in your tank up by a few degrees. I did not expect great results, however, I figured I would give it a try. I have a 20 gallon tank set up for a baby turtle, so there is probably only 3 or 4 gallons of water in it at most. This heater is amazing. It did take 2 days to bring the temp up, but the water is now around 78 degrees. My only complaint is that there is no switch to control how warm you want it. So I did unplug it to let it cool down some. I buried mine under the rocks at the bottom but near the filter so that the warm water can circulate. I read reviews on another page saying this was a terrible heater, but my experience with it has been great. So glad I saved money and it worked. It does say in the instructions that this is for a small tank, no more than 3 gallons. It works great for that.
