I was not planned to buy an additional canister filter. However, I just saw there was clearance sale at Pet smart and I could purchase it at $30 which is big discount from the original price.
After research, I get to know this is the rebadge version of Eheim Ecco Plus model (2232).
If you have hard time finding the supplies or parts such as filter media and pads, you can search by eheim 2232 and you can buy at any online store including Pet Smart.
The first prime was a little bit confusing but after that, it is easy to use and clean(also it is quite).
I use this filter as a replacement of my 10 gal tank power filter.
I tried its original bio balls but I prefer the combination of API(Rena) bio-chem star and bio-chem zorb because they have been showing good result at my tanks.
Although, it has been just a few weeks, i am satisfied with the purchase at the cost. :)

This filter is simple and awesome. But I'm upset at the fact that shortly after I bought mine I was informed that they are being discontinued at my petsmart (im assuming all petsmarts). The stores don't carry the filter media and that is upsetting.

Petsmart is discontinuing this line and you can't get filter pads or parts from Petsmart nor Nat Geo. You will have to find Eheim equivillant parts and order through the mail. Filter itself is very quiet and made with high quality. I had the cf30 on a 29 gal and had to add a HOB because the tank wouldn't cycle and amounts was really high. I would recommend over sizing. I returned mine and went with a different model because of the parts issue.

I purchased this filter less than 6 months ago for my turtle tank. The filter stops working randomly and is difficult to get running again. The top is very difficult to remove to change or clean the inside. It also randomly starts making a loud noise as if the motor is going out. Currently the only way I can make it filter is by tilting it on it's side.
