I was going overseas for two weeks and needed someone or something to feed the fish in my main ten gallon: two platy and a cory catfish. I bought this, and set the slider to the lowest amount every twenty-four hours. When I came back from my trip, my fish were all alive and healthy! The feeder worked like a dream! Note: I was using tropical granules, which are smaller than pellets, in it, and I believe that granules may be the best type of feed to use in this product.
As for the other reviews: the product will become clogged if larger pellets or flakes are used, and moisture only gathers inside and clumps the feed if the feeder is placed too close to the surface of the water, allowing it to scoop water inside during a rotation.

My real complaint is it will not dispense enough food for more than a couple small fish. I have 2 on one tank and it still doesn't release enough food for a half dozen minnows. Timer works well and can set it to feed twice a day but I require something much larger.

I have used this feeder for about a year with no problems. I've found that tetra crisps work well and never get clumpy. The feeder has drastically reduced overfeeding and made maintenance much easier. Now all I do when it comes to feeding is refill the wheel monthly.

Needed a feeder because I was going out of town for a week and I also work 24 hour shifts for I picked this up. It's a waste of time and money it lets in so much moister that the pellets end up sticking together and forming one big mass which is almost impossible to clean out. Also it isn't reliable to feed your fish, I had it set to the 12h option and it would consistently miss feedings.
