This is perfect if you need to upgrade from a 55 gallon or smaller tank, and you are on a budget. No, it is not perfect by any means, but it is 75 gallon aquarium, lids, and light, for roughly $200 out the door. You can have a basic aquarium setup and cycling for under $300.
The construction of the tank is your basic panes of glass that is held together by plastic top and bottom bezels, and some clear silicone. The panes are roughly 3/8" thick. The quality of the glass is decent, not perfect. Yes, there is a slight green tint to the edges if you look at it at an angle. The silicone used is of a clear color. It is not the cleanest silicone job that I have seen, but it also is not the worst. I used a sharp razor blade to clean up the excess. The corners are not perfect. Some parts line up fine while others are off slightly. The bezel trims are of a thick black sturdy plastic. The bottom bezel seems to be in there pretty straight. As for the top, it dips down about 1/8" in the middle. When filled, the tank grew on top about 1/8" from front to back. The light hood consists of a single T8 bulb with its own black enclosure and sits right on top. There is a switch for turning it on and off. The light I received would randomly turn itself off when bumped. Problem was fixed by fixing the contact plates that complete the circuit to the bulb.
Overall this is a great purchase. Not perfect, but still a good deal for the price.

I purchased the Top Fin 75 gal. hooded aquarium 5 weeks ago. I have been cycling the tank during that time. The night before I was to introduce Momo to her new home I noticed the glass was pushed out almost 1/8 of an inch at one end from the weight of the water and gravel. In fact all the corners are distorted to some extent. I will return to Pet Smart tomorrow and I EXPECT A REPLACEMENT. I also purchased three, 20lb bags of gravel and the coating is flaking off. You get what you pay for. I will buy the Con Agra rock from this point on. I will not purchase anymore Top Fin products.

by CountScotula Its a great tank!
It's exactly what I wanted a fully functional 75 gallon tank. It holds water, the light works great, the silicon isn't slopped all over the tank and the glass toppers are pretty slick. I actually really enjoy the top down view as well. I considered a Marineland 60 gallon tank and it was such a weird shape. I chose the Top Fin because was a better fit wider and shorter and I have turtles which is more appropriate for those guys. The second reason was the construction just looked straight up nicer and more durable than the Marineland.
This was a little more than I wanted to spend on an aquarium but after doing some searching I learned that this is just what they cost unless you catch some type of amazing deal. Now that its all setup I have no regrets as long as it continues to hold water.
I would definitely recommend this aquarium if you're looking something in the 75 gallon range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YellowTurtle01 Great for 6'' turtes and under!
I house two male painted turtles in this tank, and it works great. There's enough room to have it divided in half, with a surplus of space that I could even divide in thirds.
The hood&light that come with the tank is great, as well. It's been 7months, and my plants are thriving.
I do like how, unlike other tanks, the lid does not bow in in the center.
Very nice product, and will definitely be buying it again.
