Rated 4 out of 5 by YinYang Very cost effective and good for beginners
I have been using this for my 2 fancy goldfish and 2 snails, and everything is going very smoothly. I would recommend.
There are a few small problems, but you can handle them.
-water condenses under the hood and could mess up the lights
- hood doesn't allow good gas exchange with the air, that's how oxygen enters the water. I would
A) not use the lid
B) get a screen lid
C) make something to lift up the lid a bit and surround the gap with screen mech to allow air in, but no fish out
-the lights scare the fish the first few days... I would keep them off until the fish settle in!
The heater and filter work really good! The tank is sturdy! The only thing I would change would be the hood, but you can add a few things and the tank is awesome.
I RECOMMEND THIS TANK, But keep in mind the things I mentioned, especially if your fish like to jump, need a lot of oxygen, or are light sensitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dragongal A good deal
Needed a larger tank for 5 fish that were given to me. For someone not familiar with aquariums this starter kit is perfect (and I was lazy). Wish the hood had a hingle, as it's awkward to remove it EVERYTIME you want to do something in the tank. Wasn't sure I'd like LED lights, but I do. Hood has a cutouts for heater and for power filter. Heater and power filter are OK. You can always upgrade as needed. I think it's a good deal

Rated 3 out of 5 by mocket cover is warped
Open the box in the store to verify contents. Two of 5 have had warped covers. Filter is very loud. A real bargain, however, for beginner.
