Rated 4 out of 5 by DaYodish Tip/trick for the TopFin Power Filter 20
I bought the 20 gallon Topfin aquarium kit. I could not get the Topfin Power Filter to work. It would not suck water. I followed the package instructions and troubleshooting. I thought it to was defective so I returned it to Petsmart and got the same filter off the shelf. They replaced it at no charge. Got it home and had the EXACT same problem.
Finally, I searched the forums and saw where someone said that the intake tube must be pressed down HARD to snap into the little grooves, not just rested in the grooves. They were not kidding! I really had to press hard to get it to snap into place. However, as soon as it was locked in, it started working perfectly and quietly! HOORAY!! :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by TOPK Tricky filter - but now running great!
My 10 gal tank sprung a leak...and so we needed something fast. I grabbed this kit and brought it home and was so unbelievably annoyed with the filter. It wouldn't work at first, and I finally got it to work by fiddling with the clear intake tube but it was so incredibly loud I was preparing to take the thing back to the store. After a quick web search of the filter, I found out that the filter was unbelievably noisy because I didn't put the intake tube in all the way. I had slotted the tube into the grooves, but apparently you're supposed to force it all the way into the grooves so the clear intake can't be easily removed anymore. Now it's super quiet. Thank goodness for all the reviews that give this tip! I'm just repeating the same tip again! I wish the directions were clear that you have to click the intake tube FIRMLY into place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Schultz Great Starter Tank
Tank was easy to set up. Filter gave me problems. Took awhile to work. You have to plug it in and continuously pour water in the chambers before the filter runs properly. You have to have patience with the filter. I was impressed with the tank and it's a great price for a 20 gallon glass tank. Most glass aquariums are expensive. If you are starting out, I recommend this tank. I'm glad I didn't purchase anything bigger too much to handle. Perfect size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by eeh2121 very poor quality
Tank quality is good but thats it,
hood, top, and lites very poor quality, filter terrible,
tried for an hour to start filter, just would not start, it grumbles very loud, sounds like an old busted up garbage truck on a dirt road while running, never got it to work, spend the extra $ and get quality equipment, deffinetly do NOT recommend
