Overall the stand is nice. As a warning, it is extremely heavy in the box and is cumbersome to carry. I had my dad come and use his truck to pick it up from the store. Then we had to carry it up stairs to my apartment. It was extremely awkward and heavy to hold and carry in its box, but we made it eventually.
Out of the box, there were slight marks but they were superficial and came off with a slightly damp washcloth and some rubbing. No noticeable knicks or damages either. All parts were included and only things I needed were a screwdriver and a hammer.
Putting it together was fairly straightforward, as long as you go step by step and read the directions ahead of time, it won't be a problem. I had my mom help hold pieces in place as I screwed them, but overall was able to do most of it myself in about 3-4 hours. Once it was all together, I went over all screws and tightened them some more.
The doors took some adjusting as the final door was crooked when I attached it, but I was able to fix it and now they are both even and straight. As long as you have patience and a keen eye, it will build correctly and holes do align.
My only grievance is that it does kind wobble a bit once right side up. It wobbles front to back more than side to side, but I have a feeling once I have my 300+lb tank filled on top I hope this won't be a huge issue. But I have thin cardboard at each corner to help stabilize the cabinet's feet.
Overall I do think this makes a good product for a non-solid wood stand. It is particle board, but for this type of furniture it is definitely worth the money.

Today I purchased this stand in hopes of using it for my 55 gallon cichlid tank. I started off on a ledge with this purchase as the box was already slightly damaged and I knew about some of the reviews about this product. I got it home, opened it all up and found the top of the stand to have a large chunk missing in the rear, and the bottom face board all wrinkled from water or possibly an impact too. Then I proceeded puting this together and the instructions aren't super clear, so i had to re arange pieces but that wasn't too much of a big deal. It only became and issue when i put the top on and the large board along the bottom had split and fell. I don't know how this even happened, i had just put on the top and then i heard the board break and fall. I don't know how this was supposed to hold the 900 pound maximum capacity if it couldn't take the comparably small amount of pressure it took to get the top on. I'm returning this stand and getting a refund, I do not recommend this stand because of the poor quality of instructions and the quality of partical board.

by CountScotula It's exactly what I expected, which was good!
I was skeptical after reading the reviews, but went for it since it was so affordable.
It was a pain to put together but not much different than any other boxed furniture. The directions are not that bad. I did have improvise a couple times to get things to line up perfectly.
Bottom line: its cheap, it actually looks very nice when its assembled, and its really solid once its built and it does indeed hold a 75 gallon aquarium without problems. I would recommend this stand if this fits your price range and need.

I have had a lot of trouble building this stand. I have a lot of experience with assembling kit furniture, but this stand has had mismatched holes and does not go together easily. I have had to order several replacement boards from the manufacturer (ameriwood), but it leaves me with no confidence that this stand will hold a 75 gallon tank. This is a replacement for a 60 gallon tank that broke (also from Petsmart) this summer which destroyed my entire living room. I do not recommend this stand.
