10/10 this thing is trash. Do not buy it. Not worth your time or your money.
The only worthwhile feature of this cabinet is the color of the finish.
This thing is a piece of junk. A total piece of junk. The sections were miss cut, leaving gaps all over the place and alignment issues.
The cap screws were some of the worst designed models I've ever used, and I built cabinets for years. They used brittle aluminum, which bends, flakes and cracks.
The doors and hinges though, they were the worst. The screws strip out while you're installing them, again brittle aluminum. They don't articulate correctly. The factory holes left mine so out of adjustment, I couldn't close one side and the latch to keep it closed would catch on the other.

For the money, this isn't going to be the best stand ever, but when put together correctly, this should be solid. Had to shim ours, because our floor is a bit uneven, and the tank now stands level on the stand. The stand is pretty sturdy, and has lots of storage space. Many people have had trouble making the doors stay shut, but if you adjust the door clasp by moving it back or forward a bit, the door will stay closed.

If you buy one with parts good at hand, good for you! You got lucky. As myself did not. The store employees where great and helped anyway they could but this stand I do not recommend. Why might you ask? First, it's particle board. Glued together sawdust. It can only get wet so many times then it starts to swell and break. And when there is an aquarium resting upon it, it will get wet. Second, when the item is not "put together" it is very fragile. Parts are easily broke either by delivery to store or delivery to home. It doesn't take much to break particle board. The first one I bought had a "bump" upon the top of it. If I would have kept going, crack would have happened at the bottom of the aquarium. I took it back and exchanged for another. Before I started on the second stand, I checked out every part. This time, top part had a good size of the back corner broke off. Thats when I said no more particle board for me!! The cheaper way isn't always the best way. For the cheap way can end up being the most expensive way.... Repairing water damage that is....

Read the reviews and it took most people 2-1/2 hours. It only took me an hour and the instructions where right on, all the pieces where there, and the stand is sturdy. You do get what you pay for but this is a decent stand for the money and it was in stock in store. Thank you Petsmart!
