I just got this yesterday. It was a pain in the rear to put together. It took me about 2 hours by myself. It's sleek-looking and the cabinets work well. As another poster said, I too wish it was a bit taller, so you don't have to squat down to look at your fish. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Buddog Packed poorly
I opened the box, slid 2 boards out, and they were both chipped. Glanced into the box at the remaining boards and noticed just about every board in there was chipped. It's not surprising the way this thing was packaged. No foam or any other padding - nothing - of any type inside this box. Just a bunch of boards laying loose scraping up and banging against each other in this box. Of course the boards are going to be damaged during the shipping process when it's packed like that. So, I can't comment on anything regarding set-up or durability - I didn't get that far. I'm returning this product on the way to work in the morning. It did simplify my decision for buying a stand for a new 55-gal tank. I have to assume all Top Fin stands are packaged like this (maybe not), so I will go with a different brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MMacG1167 Nice to have available but should be much better
This stand is pretty nice looking, although you shouldn't look too closely at it as it is completely made up of fake-veneered pressboard, and the finish quality is not exactly top drawer with everything. But since there isn't much in the way of purpose-built stands for 10 gallon tanks, it is still nice to have this available. But as others have noted, it is somewhat of a chore to assemble and there were a number of components that were not labeled, even though the instructions showed that they were supposed to be, and this further added to the hassle of putting it together. It is also a bit shorter than I would have liked - another 8-10 inches would have been more to my liking. And there is one basic design issue that is really inexcusable - the back of the cabinet has no openings for things like electrical cords, filter tubes, or airline tubing, even though it does have the 2 cabinets with doors that would seem to be tailor made to hide those sorts of things in. It is solid, approximately 1-inch thick pressboard. I had to take a hole shooter (a large-bore drill) and drill a 1-1/2 inch diameter hole in the back of the bottom left cabinet so that an air pump and CO2 reactor could be placed in it. I don't see how they could have overlooked this - it is the only aquarium stand I have ever seen this problem in. And given that the price of the cabinet is not cheap, they simply need to do a better job with this product.

I got this for my very first fish tank for my 10 gallon tank, and it holds it fine. It's very beautiful for the price, and does it's job, but as soon as the water touched it, it bubbled up. I don't recommend this at all. :c
