I purchased this toy for my 6 1/2 year old boston terrier/beagle mix. I previously bought a smaller version of this toy which was technically the right size for my dog, however, he chewed both handles off then destroyed the tennis ball inside. I then bought this size because it's larger and I thought it would be more difficult for him to destroy. He has managed to bite large chunks out of both of the handles but so far he hasn't been able to completely destroy the entire toy because the ball is too big for him to get a good grip. The squeaker stopped working a long time ago but we can still play with the toy. Overall, I would recommend this toy for a medium sized dog (30-40 pounds max). It isn't indestructible but you might get a few months of use out of it before it's a total loss. For larger dogs that are even slightly destructive, I can't imagine this would be worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CarrieM Looks like Fun
Yeah, looks like fun but my 7 dogs are not interested in it. The one that loves balls and destroys toys didn't show interest.
There it sits in the toy box.
If I was a dog I'd play with it!

My Siberian Husky chewed through this ball on the second day. Too bad, because he was having so much fun with it on day one. Is there no material out there that a dog can't chew through? If you can't trust a Kong, what can you trust? Very disappointing!

I have a 3yr old pit bull who can destroy almost anything within minutes-especially when it sqeaks. Even though this is rubber, he hasn't made a dent! And he LOVES it! Much quieter than similar plastic ones I've bought in the past and much more gentle on his mouth. We can play a little tug, or fetch or he can sit and entertain himself with the least obnoxious sqeak ever.
