Poorly madeSecond time I used this vest, the stitching on the snaps came out and the snap was loose. Had to hand sew the strap back onto the snap. Being that this is the most important part of the vest to keep it on your pet, the stitching should have been much more durable. Not a quality product for the price paid.

Tried to keep my dog coolI purchased this cooling vest to keep my medium to large size short haired dog cool on hikes in Southern California/San Diego area. It appeared that she would get a little overheated around 40 minutes into our trek, she would search out shade and rest! I thought the cooling vest was a good idea, the fit was great. It's light weight, it's bright but it has this gooey sticky substance that sort of oozed out of the vest when it was prepared as instructed on manufacturer's tag. I saw no difference in our dog's performance. It did not seem to cool her off or get her to go further. I could not find out anymore info on this brand of vest or other reviews. I am sorry to say, it didn't work for our dog.

Awesome ProductWe are a Certified Pet Therapy team in San Diego visiting hospitals. It gets very warm for our pets but while wearing this vest after soaking it in water, Shiloh, my 3 yr. old Beagle can last for hours with the heat that is pulled off her body and through the vest. This vest for us is tremendous! Buy it! You won't be sorry!

Not very greatI bought this yesterday and it has shown one big problem already. The vest does cool my dog down when I get it wet (as it is supposed to), but it leaks gel like crazy. Certainly not worth $29.99! The gel has not harmed my dog because he will not eat it, but if you think your dog might eat the gel, I would NOT buy this product! The gel comes from the reflective parts of the vest and seeps through the stitching. The gel has gotten all over me and my dog, but I participate in 4-H and need a cooling jacket/vest for fairs. Sadly, I cannot afford a new cooling jacket for my dog, so I am just going to have to give him several baths to get the gel off.

Sufficient for short walks on a hot dayMy dog wore this vest for a 30-minute walk around the yard on a 100 degree Texas day. It seemed to keep her sufficiently cool. I think it works better if you wet a small microfiber cloth and position the microfiber cloth on the dog's back and then use this vest. The vest will keep the cloth in place and provide additional cooling with the wet microfiber cloth.

not bad, but needs improvingI used this product a couple times before there was no more cooling gel in the vest anymore. It just kind of oozed out. i still put it in the water and use it for 30 minutes or so. so other than the fact that i now need to put my own cooling beads in it. Well it has helped my dog completely. I have no complaints other than that one.
