I have a longhaired mini dachshund. I measured his chest, neck and girth. He needed a harness with a 18-19" chest. We tried a size small (19"-23") on at the store, and with the tags it seemed to fit. Took it home, tried it on and adjusted to the smallest it would go. It seemed a tad loose around his neck, but I figured it would be okay while walking/running. Sadly, I was wrong. He slipped his front feet out of the harness several times. He also wasn't walking well on it, but I attributed this to it being a new style of harness. Back to the store we went to exchange for an extra small. The extra small is 16" - 19". Since he was on the higher end of this size, I figured it would be snug and fit better. Again, wrong. It fits, but is VERY snug. He refused to walk and you could see it pulling on his legs. Back to the store it goes and time to shop online for a different brand. The biggest issue I found, besides the fact that it is easy to slip out (even the extra small he could slip out of), was actually adjusting the size. I took out my flexible measuring tape and could not get it to open up to the full 19" on the extra small or down to 19" on the small because of the plastic slider. Poor design unfortunately.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KelseyLilly XS too big for Chihuahua/Min Pin
The smallest size is still too big for my adult chihuahua/min pin mix. I also wish it was a 2 buckle design. Nice fabric and colors but just won't work for my pup.

I bought this in size small and it looked like it fit my Mini Poodle but the arm holes are a bit large and he steps out of it. It would probably be fine on a bit lager of a dog.

Rated 1 out of 5 by teetsi Easily slips off
Saw this in the store and it was the perfect lime green that I was looking for but wish I had read reviews on-line before buying at the store. It does eliminate choking if my dog pulls but I have to be on my toes because if he gets scared he backs right out the thing! Luckily he's trained to come when called but still nerve racking. Too expensive to justify replacing it so I'm going to have to get creative and sew a modification on it to add a way for it to attach to his collar. This harness needs to be pulled off the market and redesigned.
