Advice for Use:
Toys are meant for you and your pet to enjoy together. Observe your pet's behavior with the toy for suitability. Some toys may be inappropriate for your pet. Remove and replace the toy if it becomes damaged.

Warning:
Ingestion of this product can result in serious injury. Contains small parts. Intended for dogs only, not children.

Directions:
1. Remove all plastic wrapping and discard properly.
2. Place the toy on aflat surface with ample room for your dog to access all sides, free from other distractions. During the initial play session, encourage your dog to investigate the toy and show him how to open the compartments.
3. Place one treat inside one compartment and use a command to begin training. Let your dog sniff the toy until he opens the compartment and finds the hidden treat. Once your dog finds the treat, praise him and give a release command signaling the end of training. Be patient as learning takes time.
4. Continue the fun by placing treats inside all the compartments. Be sure to praise your dog each time he finds the treat.
5. Increase the challenge by adjusting the spinning resistance of the chambers. Adjust the knob on the bottom of the toy according to your dog's skill level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eh. So I thought my border collie would love a puzzle box. I thought by starting out somewhat simple it would be easy for him to catch on and figure out and play with. First of all, this thing is loud. Maybe it's because of how my dog was using it, but it was just loud. We have hardwood floors too so it wouldn't stay in one place for him. Even on a rug it wouldn't either. Second, maybe my dog is TOO smart for this. He didn't use it as it is intended to be used. He simply picked the whole thing up, turned it on its side so all the flaps opened and dumped out all his treats. While it's hilarious, it's not how this thing is supposed to work, but I guess he did figure out how to get all the treats out (which is the purpose? Kind of?). He figured out how to get one flap up, then that gave him a place to grab hold of to flip it over. Only my dog. In theory it's a good toy, but it didn't work for us, so it's just sitting in the corner now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very suitable for smaller breeds My canine companion is an XS toy breed and he is unable to rotate this toy to "forage". He is also unable to lift the compartment covers with his paws so he has to use his snout where he risks taking his eye out because the covers are pointed at the corners. We have had to modify playing with this toy by him just indicating with his nose which compartment the treat is in, and me opening the cover up for him to take the treat. So very restricted usefulness in terms of occupying and replicating "foraging" behaviour for smaller breeds of dog. Also, some design changes are warranted - there is no need for sharp corners on the compartment covers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy, fun first puzzle This is the first puzzle we bought our 11-week old puppy. She is very smart and figured it out within a minute. Now I give her daily food in it. She is excellent at the puzzle and it gives her a small challenge to get all her kibble. This is a perfect level 1, starter brain game toy for a puppy or a dog that gets too challenged by more difficult puzzles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but not good for xs breeds Our mini dachshund's mouth is too small to actually get it around the plastic cups to pick them up. Instead, we flipped them over with the cup side up so that she can pick them up with her mouth. It only took her about a minute to pick up all the cups, slide the dial over and get all the treats. It would be better if the cups had some grip on them, but I wouldn't really recommend this particular toy for small breeds. (she is 9lbs).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from My puppy is too smart :( I have a 7 month old male Rottweiler/Border Collie/Shepherd/Lab mix and he is a VERY smart dog, so I thought a brain game would be excellent for him, and it was - for two minutes when he figured the ENTIRE thing out, I even tightened the spin thing to make it harder, and it just added one a extra minute to his time. If your dog is pretty smart this won't last him that long to figure out, I still use it sometimes, but it's sort of whatever for my dog. He needs something even trickier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good occupier I have 3 Alaskan Malamutes and they are hard on toys! Zeevie sent it flying across the floor and into the walls. Then she figured it out. Lil'Bit just tried to crack it open and nearly succeeded! Cajun figured it out right off the bat! It keeps them occupied. It seems well made, but Lil'Bit is not allowed to have it because she crunches on it. I'm afraid she will break it. For no more than I paid for it (half off on sale), it was well worth it!! I woudl recommend it, just dont' leave your dog alone with it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good but not great. At first it was ok, but in less than 30 minutes it stopped working! I tried to fix it but the top cracked off the bottom when I was making it a harder level (Level 2). Bottom line: I would not buy this product again...but it's a great idea!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toy for Dogs! We bought this for our lab over the weekend and its great way to engange her and make her forage for her treats. She's really goes at it and it took her all of less than 3mins to figure out how it worked! The nonstick feet aren't really working well, but that's ok as the treats are gone before it gets moved too much anyway.
