I have only used this once, but it worked wonderfully. The dog slept soundly the whole way. The soft, plush, clingy fabric, unlike the smooth polyester ones, keeps the dog from sliding around, provides much better grip for him and ability to control his position when the car moves around. This difference is true even if the dog is restrained. When they are tense and can't settle down this is a bigger distraction to the driver as well. This plush, bedding-like microfiber material and construction made for a comfortable secure environment for him, where he could resist the forces created by the car at least somewhat and easily get comfortable and sleepy. Durability wise we'll see how it lasts.. my main worry is the seam that connects the plush seat area to the thinner hammock part. Not sure why they didn't make it quilted all the way and without a seam in such a vulnerable place. Looks very much like a cheap shortcut. If this breaks down, i will certainly come back with an updated review, because this was not a cheap product and i expect to be using it for years to come.

This is a great product and overall performs just as I expected. Even though the Sta-Put "technology" doesn't keep it fully secure (there are no side straps like the website claims, instead there are straps that you tuck between the seat back and the seat itself), it's really only the edges that slide around a bit. Coming from another hammock of similar design I wasn't too disappointed. One thing I do love is the material it's made from. Unlike my previous hammock, this material actually clings onto the fur around my car so when I have the windows down I no longer have a tornado of dog fur terrorizing me while I drive.

My disappointment knows no bounds. This "sta-put" seat cover doesn't. It slides all over the back seat, as do my two dogs. There are no side attachments, which means the hammock moves when the dogs move. I've had it about one month and I'm looking for something else already. A big waste of money for me.

This product does a more than adequate job of pro-tecting the seats/upholstery of your car. While I do think it's a bit over-priced,I can't really complain. If I were to knit-pick though, the one issue I'd have is the fact that you can't put anything or anyone in the back seat while the seat-cover is in place.
