Petmate® Mason Jar Replenishing Waterer
I understand that if the "jar" lid was able to come off all the water in the container would simply pour out the bottom. I can also fill it and get it in the base with out spilling water every where. I have had several different kinds of water containers and they are function the same.

I purchased this waterer for one reason--I could (I thought) take the top off and be able to refill and have easier access to the inside to clean. The top, which looks like a mason jar lid, DOES unscrew--but it doesn't give you access to the inside of the jar. You have to take the "jar" off the base to refill and clean. There are cheaper options, and this one is going back tomorrow.

Not what it's made out to be
I purchased this for my dog and just received it yesterday. I've had dogs before and we used to have an automatic waterer which was great until we needed to refill it. You would have to take it out, fill it, flip it over (spill water# and then do it again the next day. Got pretty annoying and was a big waste on paper towels. I purchased this hoping the top would unscrew to fill it with water. That is NOT the case. It does not say there is a plastic bottom under the lid. Was pretty disappointed to say the least :#
