Carlson Pet Products Extension for Flexi Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate
Tall but not secure
The gate is certainly tall and the rungs are the right spacing apart. However, two arrived bent, and the instructions are not extremely clear. The wall mounts are useless. They do not stay in the wall and are pulled out easily. My 18 month old baby was able to yank the gate out of the wall with one shake when she tried to get in the pet area. For the amount of money it cost, I expected a far higher quality gate.

Does the trick
I have a mini poodle who loves to jump onto high places (like our vanity which is over 3 1/2 feet high) I was worried he might be able to jump over this gate, but its been a week now, and so far so good. It is doing the trick and seems sturdy. My 2 mini poodles haven't been able to get out, or tear it down.
We put the gate outside, in an area where their doggy door is. We built a little enclave, about 5 feet wide, and 7 feet deep near their doggy door. And we put the gate at the front, to block them from being able to escape. They have about 35 sq feet they can romp around in outside, and go back in, after they potty during the day while we are gone. We screwed it into the stucco and haven't had any problems.

Perfect for our needs!
I was hesitant about purchasing this item because of some reviews but it is the only product I could find to meet our needs. Which are, an extra tall gate, with a small pet door for an odd shaped top of the stairs area. It cam feel flimsy because it is mounted to the walls and not the floor, but so far it has help up to a 100 pound malamute, three little kids and a teenager. No one has ripped it out of the wall like other gates and the dog can't climb it and the small dog and cats can get through. WEnt up easily, no problems.

I love this gate!
I have had this gate for some time now and LOVE it! I have 3 dogs, 2 of them are over 75lbs. I use it to keep them out of the livingroom. It works great! It is easy to use. If you don't have it tight in the "hooks" in the wall, then it does seem flimsy. But, if you have it in tight...it's sturdy. I did have one of the plastic pieces break, but emailed the company and for $3 got a replacement. I had a wood gate that I used for the same purpose and my dog Tank lived up to his name and busted thru it. He hasn't been able to break thru this one.
